How DocOpsly collects, uses and protects personal data.
1. Who we are
DocOpsly ("we", "us") is a company based in France operating the website docopsly.com and the DocOpsly managed documentation platform. We act as data controller for personal data collected through this website and as data processor for customer documentation content processed on a customer's behalf under a service agreement.
2. Data we collect
- Contact data you provide through our contact form or by email: name, work email address, company and the content of your message.
- Account and workspace data for customers: user names, roles, organisational details entered into a workspace, approval actions and audit records.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and, where enabled, cookies described in our cookie policy.
3. How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide the service you request.
- To operate, secure and improve the platform, including maintaining approval and audit trails.
- To send service communications. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
We rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data-protection law.
5. Customer documentation content
Documentation content processed within a customer's workspace is used solely to deliver that customer's documentation programme — drafting, reviewing, publishing, maintaining and answering questions from it. It is not used for any other customer.
6. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our instructions under contract (hosting, email delivery), with professional advisers, and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area we rely on appropriate safeguards such as European Commission standard contractual clauses.
8. Retention
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. Customer data is kept for the duration of the agreement and deleted or returned within 90 days of termination unless the law requires longer retention.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL). To exercise your rights, contact privacy@docopsly.com.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
